Banned TED Talk - The Science of Delusion
Recently stumbled upon Rupert Sheldrake’s talk entitled The Science Delusion at TEDx Whitechapel. The theme for the night was Visions for Transition: Challenging existing paradigms and redefining values (for a more beautiful world).
Recently stumbled upon Rupert Sheldrake’s talk entitled The Science Delusion at TEDx Whitechapel. The theme for the night was Visions for Transition: Challenging existing paradigms and redefining values (for a more beautiful world). In response to protests from two hardcore materialists in the US, the talk was taken out of circulation by TED, relegated to a corner of their website and stamped with a warning label. It’s worth a listen.
Crash Course Philosophy
This is an incredibly well-done crash course introduction to philosophy...as the name implies.
PBS
This is an incredibly well-done crash course introduction to philosophy...as the name implies. I love it, I just need to figure out how to play it on 1/2 speed because it is packed with sooooo much information...so I watch them about three times and then I’m good. They seem to approach it from a middle ground and go into many of the foundational arguments for belief and skepticism which I appreciate. So yeah, highly recommended.
